AJC measures people’s reported experiences and perceptions through a survey. Pew estimates population through a large national study. These figures belong beside their methods, not in a blender.

The audit includes criminal and non-criminal incidents, evaluates reports for credibility, and may differ from other organizations’ totals because definitions and counting methods vary.
AJC, State of Antisemitism in America 2025: survey findings about experiences and perceptions among American Jewish adults. Survey figures describe respondents, not every Jewish person or every incident.
Pew Research Center, Jewish Americans in 2020: a national population estimate based on a large survey. Pew notes that the total changes with the definition used for Jewish identity.
